What is Plasma IQ skin tightening?

Treat wrinkles, age lines, excess skin, and much more!

What is it, and how does it work?

Plasma IQ skin treatments are the newest and latest alternative to remove wrinkles, age lines, excess skin, certain blemishes, moles, and many other skin conditions. Unlike traditional surgical facelifts, plasma skin treatments burn small, concentrated dots using a microneedle on the treatment area, causing your skin to shrink and regenerate itself and induce collagen in the process. The effect causes the skin to tighten naturally as it heals.

Plasma IQ treatment uses the fourth state of matter – plasma. Tissues are treated “sublimate” and we avoid spreading unwanted heat to the surrounding areas by using a microneedle. The principle is to ionize gas in the air to create a small electrical arch, similar to a tiny lightning bolt, with which the dermal and epidermal areas are affected by aesthetic problems, may be treated without spreading unwanted heat to the surrounding areas, therefore offering pinpoint treatments.

The microneedle is the size of a skin pore and as it burns tiny dots, it creates a tiny crater in the skin, causing the skin around it to shrink. Each dot causes the skin around it to dissipate and shrink towards the center of the burn.

Plasma IQ is one of the best procedures to treat sagging skin, wrinkles, and fine lines, very effective skin tightening procedure. It brings about very natural results. You can treat upper and lower eyelids, crows feet, lip/smoker lines, marionette lines, wrinkles about the knees, wrinkles on upper arms, abdomen, scars, and lines on face. Plasma IQ offered at pH7 Dermatology has been FDA approved and is from Suneva Medical.

What are the benefits of treatment with Plasma IQ?

Minimal Downtime

Traditional CO2 lasers or a surgical face lift require extensive downtime, can have severe swelling or bruising for approximately several weeks. With Plasma IQ procedure is non-invasive, does not puncture the skin. Most clients heal within 5-7 days.

Great Results

Plasma IQ yields much better results because it is done gradually, you focus on one area at a time. You focus on one area each time, and thus the cost is beneficial and more affordable. So if someone wants their hooded eyes done, they can focus on that particular area instead of having an entire face lift.

Repeatability

You are able to repeat the treatment over and over again to achieve the best results. Plasma leaves no scarring, no sutures to be removed.

Pain

There is some pain involved so using a plasticized gel topical anesthetic is the best option, also nerve blocks can be done for the upper lip. The pain is over once the pinpoint has been treated. It feels more like a burn at the time, but once completed, there is no residual pain. The topical anesthetic makes the treatment more tolerable. The area the most sensitive is the upper lip.

Swelling

The most sensitive areas of the face do swell up. Usually more swelling is around the eye area. It goes away quickly and doesn’t last more than a day.

Redness

Depending on area treated will depend on the redness, eyes being the most sensitive areas. Remember, new skin cells are forming, which can make the skin appear more sensitive and fresh. Usually lasts between 6-10 days.

Slow Results

Plasma IQ is a slower progression of improvement. The skin was destroyed and is not healing, making new skin. The skin will continue to improve for us to 4 weeks.

Skin Problems

Anyone with hyperpigmentation, heart, health issues should discuss with a practitioner prior to treatment. A test spot can be done to see if you might have a reaction.
